After staying out later than she expected, the popular Layla looses her voice. Literaly. After meeting the supernatural.
Scared that Layla would expose the beings,  they take away her voice. She can't yell, talk, or use her beautiful voice to sing. The next day, she returns to school. People shun her, and her friends shut her out.

She keeps going out, night after night. Searching for the creatures that took the most important thing away from her. One night she runs into Jake, the schools bad boy. He seems to understand her. And Layla would do anything to get her voice back, even if it means pairing up with him.
