The Ghost that Plays a Melody

It's like breathing in as much air as you possibly can, and not wanting to exhale it all. Holding it in, how can a heavy soul be in that much control over itself? Tyler Joseph thought about that a lot, especially in his writing. How can he be in control of a soul so dirty? So broken. So heartless. All he wanted was to be known but by who? Joshua Dun thought the same in a sense. He found safety in something he didn't have in his loving household: his drums. He'd go to the local record store, check out the music, and play their drums until he was kicked out. Only to be left alone with no outlet for the rest of his day. "Breathe." He dipped his head down so that his lips were right at my ear, his strong arm wrapped securely around my waist, molding my body into his. "If you're going to fall apart,." He starts, teeth gritted. "Now's the time. I'll be here to put you back together when it's over." I squeezed my eyes shut again, and I did just that. I fell apart. ******* Secrets. Lies. Deception. Murder. I'd seen and done it all. And not willingly. So I left. I sacrificed my freedom to save myself, and the only way to ensure my own safety was to start over. Clean slate. New people. New me. But the last thing I expected when I arrived at Manonwell Prep Academy was to be bombarded by a boy-no, a man who held some unknown vendetta against me. Call it obsession, infatuation, hatred. To me it was all one in the same. He was everywhere I turned, like a shadow. Watching me. Taunting me. Haunting me. And it was all because of something I did to him a long time ago. It was something so bad that he couldn't stand me, that he wanted me dead, and the idea of making my life a living hell was something that he took pride in. But I didn't remember. I had no clue what I could've done to him in the past, but he was hellbent on pushing me until I did. My plans on starting over were shattered the minute I stepped inside that school. He was the type of person that demanded your attention without having to speak. He was untamed and wild and unhinged. But what he didn't know was that the Winter Travers that he knew in past, the one I didn't remember, was no longer alive. I was different. She was gone and I was here. And he was everything I should've been afraid of. Sinister, quiet, manipulative, but I knew it would be a cold day in hell before I let him win. Ronan was like gasoline waiting to be doused on the fire that inside me, and if he was ready to burn, then so was I.

She makes up her mind that if he is falling, and if he does love her, he'll wait for her to be ready, and if she loves him, she won't let herself hurt him. He smiled slightly at the thought. "But you can't do it." The smile turned to a frown quickly and the man looked up at Tyler. "I'm not saying that you aren't capable of doing. I know you are. I know all of you are. I know Josh is. I know I am. But you can't do it. I don't care if you are going through some of the hardest things you have ever encountered. You can't do it. You have to stay alive. Stay alive for me. For Josh. For yourself. How do you see the end if you can't make it through the beginning? How do you see the good when you won't even try to get through the bad?"

Having a crush on one of your closest friends is not easy. You want to tell them how you feel but what if they don't feel the same? Will your friendship be ruined forever? "I said, do you understand" he spit through clenched teeth, "y-yes, I'm sorry" I whispered, a new wave of tears making their appearance. "Good girl, now I need you to keep being a good girl, okay?" nodding, my eyes met his dark ones. His form towered over me, making me feel small and irrelevant. "Words, Embry!" He demanded as I stuttered out a quiet yes. I studied him cautiously as he walked towards the far end of the room, shuffling through drawers before stalking back towards me and crouching down. I sucked in a breath as I saw the knife in his hand, his face held a mischievous grin as it glinted in the light. "Now baby-girl, you see, as much as I hate to, you need to be punished, do you know why?" Warning!
