Hawkpaw, Duskpaw, Dawnpaw, and Mousepaw are apprentices of Shadow-Clan. They were born to Elkfire and Wolfmist. Elkfire has been exiled from Shadow-Clan for being a medicine cat being mates with Wolfmist, a warrior. As Mousepaw grows up, she begins to realize more and more about Star-Clan and the Warrior code, and believed they're unfair. She is willing to end Star-Clan's 'reign of terror'. Hawkpaw had to leave the clan, but he then ended up in a city. He has to think of a way to stop Mousepaw.
