Nico's more than a little broken. He feels as though he's a liability to everyone around him. He feels hated and unwanted and he desperately wants and needs someone to save him.
Will is busy helping in the infirmary but a part of him still is focused on a certain pale skinny boy who he wants to save. The problem is he doesn't know how.
Then the both of them share a flashback together and it changes their dynamic. Will suddenly realises how serious Nico's mental health issues are and it scares him. Nico desperately wants to run away because he refuses to let the adorable bright ball of sunshine be tainted by his darkness
What happens when Will realises that behind Nico's harsh darkness there's a soft boy who can be happy and funny? And what happens when Nico realises Will may be a sunshine but even the Sun can't always be bright and happy?

Placed during very beginning of Blood of Olympus/ between House of Hades and Blood of Olympus at the beginning. Then it switches to the end of Blood of Olympus. This is a solangelo story line. If you have not read Blood of Olympus, or do not ship solangelo, then I kindly ask you to reconsider your life choices. And then go do those things. I tried to stay true to the characters, I really truly did. If you're reading and you think I did something wrong, please let me know (but. you know. kindly.). Nico diAngelo didn't really have a problem with moving, he just continued his life how it was before. Writing, listening to music, sitting in the back of the classroom, making sure not to get too close to anyone, and maybe falling asleep in class. Also spending half of his energy keeping himself from falling apart. That is, until he met Will. Will was like medicine for his heart. When Will held his hand, it felt as if he could relax and let go of his troubles, but when he had to let go, that was something he wasn't ready for, causing to have meltdowns for the first time in a long time. Will had been living a rather boring life in his town, same faces, same friends, he wanted change. When the new boy was in some of his classes at the start of the new school year, Will couldn't help but be curious after seeing the same faces almost all of his life. He was drawn to him in some way he couldn't describe, and couldn't help falling for him as they spent more time together. This book has characters that are created by Rick Riordan, yet there are a few, like Nico's father which is a small character that I created.
