Monday started out as a normal day: Get up, get dressed, go down and eat, go to school. For most people nothing was wrong with this schedule. But for Kay, everything was wrong with it. Instead of waking up in a normal bed at a normal time, she has to wake up at 5:00 a.m to get her mom up for work, and to wake her siblings up for daycare. Due to her early mornings, Kay is always tired, never getting a break due to going to bed late after making dinner giving her siblings baths, doing dishes, and then homework. After waking her mom up, her siblings usually gave her a hard time about getting out bed, so a good amount of time went by before they were even out of the room. After her siblings were dressed and fed, it was time for Kay to get ready in 15 minutes. Most 16 year olds need 8-10 hours of sleep, 10 minutes to take a shower, 15 minutes to get dressed and freshened up, and then 10 minutes to eat. Kay had none of this!

Background: I have an older brother named Chris, and a younger sister named Reagan. My parents picked our names last minute because they didn't really care about what they were going to name us. My family lives in a huge house in Texas. My dad is a doctor and my mom is a lawyer so our family is pretty much rich. My parents rarely pay attention to any of us because they never wanted us. They give us money every month so that we won't have to bother them when we need money for something. I could probably be happy about that if my life was actually good and not a living hell. My brother is 23 years old so he doesn't live with us anymore. He's really smart and he's been at Yale since he was 19. He's majoring in music. My little sister is 15 years old and she's super friendly. She's also really smart, but she doesn't act like it because she doesn't want to be judged. She's one of the most popular girls at our school and she loves to be center of attention. That's how it all starts.
