They were only babies—newborn to be exact—when they were taken from their home. The man's name was Drake. A rogue scientist who performs experiments on babies. Most died of course, until he finally got it right. The five children each earned a special ability unique to them. They were sent out to humanity until they were older. Old enough to be trained for what they were born to do. More like created. And not all of their lives have been very easy. At all.
