Y/N Y/L/N had just moved to Riverdale alone the same day that Veronica Lodge had come to town. Y/N quickly made friends with Betty Cooper, Archie Andrews, Veronica Lodge, and more importantly Jughead Jones. After Y/N comes clean about not having a true family anymore, she moves in with the Cooper's and becomes closer to Betty which meant investigating the Serpents with her.
