In a world with chips in the back of your head monitoring everything and eliminating choices for all regardless of age, class, race and history nobody was allowed to make choices of their own. It was all theirs just like everything else, they had everything, the system was in charge. In charge of your marriage status, money, friends, and work. It has been that way for as long as anyone still alive could remember, nobody really knows how it started or who created it but deep down you either loved it or hated it.
Most loved it, it didn't allow them to make mistakes and got to live a 'perfect world', but mostly they didn't know how to live without it. Those who hated it... well not much is known about them, with the public executions and being ostracized from society, they kept it to themselves and you don't talk about them anymore after, you'd be next. If you mess up and do something they don't want you to, they go after everyone you love, parents, siblings, friends and kids; they have no morals or ethics. And nothing is off limits for them. Everyone acts like they love it 24/7, there's no choice but to, they watch you like hawks.
But he had always been a smart kid, he noticed things others didn't.
Enigmas are nothing more than a legend-Alphas who surpass Alphas, beings of absolute dominance. In ancient times, they were kings, warlords, and gods. But their power was too great, so they were erased from history, reduced to myths.
Pooh was never supposed to exist.
To survive, he has spent his life suppressing his true nature, acting as an ordinary Alpha. Hiding. But something changes when he meets Pavel, a strong, proud Alpha with a fire in his eyes that refuses to be tamed.
Pavel doesn't understand it at first. Pooh doesn't act like an Alpha trying to compete for dominance. No-Pooh's presence is suffocating. Absolute. Inevitable. Something deep inside Pavel warns him that he isn't dealing with an Alpha.
And that terrifies him.
