Hiccup Haddock, the only son of Stoick the cheif of Berk, was taken by an unknown banned viking at a young age and brought to the Lair of Dragons. At the same time a rare pitch black dragon appears on Stoick and Valka's door step, who happens to be the heir of the King of Dragons. The couple take in the dragon and raise him as their own as Hiccup shares the same fate with the King of Dragons. But suddenly Stoick falls ill, and he has no heir to take over as the new chief. Except for one: the banned viking. But Stoick refuses to let his long lost sister take over and poison all the vikings. Toothless, the dragon, has mythical powers and can see the true heir of Berk is alive. But the banned viking who kidnaped him has plans to get rid of the boy so she can take over as Cheiftess of Berk. Toothless tried to tell his adoptive parents of his visons but they don't listen. It is up to Toothless to save Hiccup's life and bring him back home before destruction wipes out the entire viking race entirely.
