I glanced down to her lips but then I scooted away while clearing my throat. She hmm'd, "You tried to kiss me again." I shook my head and said "Nope. I didn't, I tried not to kiss you, as you see." She rolled her eyes with a soft smile. "Maybe if you did let me kiss you...just once, I would stop trying." She sighed softly "I got my doctorate at 24 You know I'm not a dumbass right?" I just let out a soft sigh "Thank you for everything" I hugged her and held her tightly. She wrapped her arms around me. She pulled back and I looked at her lips. "I should go." I said softly. And just as Imani is ready to live the life laid out for her, she meets a fiery girl who can see right through her and stops at nothing to get her. What happens when their two worlds clash? I watch her when she walks in, orders the same drink - same size - and sits at the exact same table every single day. I don't think she notices me, seeing as how I'm behind the counter and I'm not the one at the register. But on December 19th, she looked up from her laptop and cup, into my eyes, and smiled. Before the start of senior year, Parker Harding was a closeted lesbian. After the homecoming dance, she was out and she was an outcast. She just had three little problems. Finding a girlfriend to get over her ex and keeping her economics grade up were two of them. The third being her crush on a very straight girl at her high school, the same one that sat in the coffee shop every single day. Parker thought Rebecca was everything she wanted, but people aren't always the way they seem.

It gives you the perspective that I had through each relationship I had gotten into. how I had a hoe phase, then fell in love with a person I couldn't let go of. this story is dedicated to the love of my life who gave me the biggest lesson and made me realize what love is meant to be and not be for myself. This story is a timeline of a child to a teenager at current finding her way through love, messed up relationships, situationships. This story opens up all the drama and heartaches she had to survive through.

There was something different about this coffee shop. I had been coming here for eight years and I just couldn't find myself ever losing interest in it. I just kept coming back. Whether it was to enjoy their delicious drinks and treats or just to relax and think. Or maybe it was just to enjoy and admire the flamboyant woman behind the counter. Mature Language involved.
