After saving Hyrule from the Calmaity, Link and Zelda head out on their journey to return the kingdom to its former glory. The one thing they didn't expect to happen after the disastrous events to follow the first attack of Gannon, was that his next, stronger attack, waiting for them in the darkness...and it's not what they thought. It is something that might end, the Kingdom of Hyrule for good.

You are an outsider, no one knows where you came from. Protecting those around you became something you dedicated yourself to. You trained yourself to fight in the graveyard for days until your body gave out and you'd start again. One day, Link finds you battling a lone goblin that has infiltrated the village by yourself. Impressed by your natural skill, he brings you along to gather more allies from all other villages. Between Timelines: A Legend of Zelda Fanfic by sunshine3300

One year ago, Link defeated Ganon, freeing Zelda and saving Hyrule. After not having seen Link in many months, they are finally reunited at Zelda's coronation on her 18th birthday. The circumstances of their meeting, however, are not what either of them imagined. This story takes places between the end of the botw story line and the beginning of the totk story line, and tells the story of what happened in that time. P.S. this is a zelink story, but there will only be fluff here, sorry :) Disclaimer: the characters in this story are not mine, they belong to Nintendo, and the cover art is not mine either. The Legend Says I Love You | Zelink by housewolves

Zelda doesn't believe in soulmates; Zelda barely even believes in herself. That is, until Link turns up with a sword strapped to his back, heralding the end of times. Now, they must work together to prevent the fall of Hyrule and rise of Calamity Ganon. But, the task proves as tricky as expected, especially when Zelda feels like she's falling faster than her Kingdom...and perhaps in a way she never expected to. Pre-game (and post-game, eventually) fic centred around Link's memories and what might've happened in between them.

The Princess and Her Knight - A Breath of the Wild FanFiction by nightowl2525

Before the Great Calamity, Zelda and Link travel amongst Hyrule together. They must learn to tolerate each other on their journey. Zelda, having barely been able to leave the castle much before him, discovered her sense of adventure when she went out with Link. Is it possible that the two of them harbored a secret admiration for each other than ran deeper than friendship? Or would Link maintain his silence and not speak to the princess at all? This story flashes back from before and after the Great Calamity. What happens after Link defeats Calamity Ganon? This story is very long, but if I do say so myself, I think it's worth it!
