During a zombie extermination mission, Lin Ran is "accidentally" shot and killed by her own people. Even in her last moments, Lin Ran wonders who will protect Mo Shuyu and her child once she's gone. Except that this suit of armor has a face. And that face has a name. Author's Note: William Hillphire, a character you will meet in chapter 13, actually belongs to a friend of mine. I wrote his character into this book in collaboration with him. His characterization is almost entirely his own.
