"The paranormal..." Dad paused as if was about to reveal some top secret, like how Mr. Krabs would to with the Krabby Patty Secret Formula, "is real. There are people with supernatural powers, everything you read in those fantasies, is real." I first studied their faces for any sign of a joke, 'cos, what other reasonable explanation would there be?, then, I bit my wobbling bottom lip. Finally, when I couldn't hold it in anymore, the laughter spewed out of me. A lot of it. "Oh God," I said, between snorts, "That's rich. Superpowers are real. What's next? We have dragons and flying unicorns in our basement?"

A blank doll with acting and action running in her veins, Freia woke up in a hospital with no memory of what brought her there. Sure, the doctors said a car crash delivered her there, but it didn't feel like it. They said her family's dead but how come Freia didn't feel like that was true? Her very first visitors were her adoptive parents, Fabio and Darlene Hunter. She had four friends that stuck with her ever since she could remember, literally. That is until one who was dear to her was killed, in front of her. Of course, she was devastated. Why would that be a question? One day, Fabio decided to put her into his school filled with students that he specifically chose to be in. When she was finally forced to be in it, she found out things she thought that only existed in books. Powers unknown to the modern world, sheltered children who only knows the world through TV and non-interactive computers. All of the information comes in that school, but never comes out. I gotta say, why would you believe something that was written and altered by humans from outside? Would you even put your trust on the person who doesn't let you out unless he wants you to? Read on as we see Freia and her friends struggle to find their places in the world they thought they knew of. [COMPLETED] [UNEDITED]
