Cora lived a rough life, with drug-addict parents who didn't care about her but thankfully she grew up with Ashton, her best friend since they were 3. Once high school ended so did their friendship.
Eventually, Cora found a boyfriend, Fletcher, who didn't feel comfortable with their friendship and demanded she pushed Ashton out of her life.
Not knowing any different, she let the toxicity in her life and allowed Fletcher to be just like her father.
That all changed when her mother died and she had to move back to the house that tormented her growing up and relive a part of her childhood that she pushed so far that she forgot that there was some (or someone) good that came out of it.
