Those were the last few words Adrina heard from her grandmother before moving out. Certainly she couldn't predict everything, but Adrina knew relatively well what her future was looking like. She would continue working full-time as an ESL teacher, stay with the same school to get her tenure,  maybe get married and have a kid one of these days. 

Certainly she couldn't predict everything, especially not that the school she worked for would send her overseas to South Korea. Or that her hyperactive new roommate would tag along. Or that the older brother of one of her students would be unbelievably, excruciatingly attractive. As well as a member of one of the largest K-Pop groups in the world. 

Her grandmother was right, and Adrina's prediction had been so very wrong.

"I truly enjoyed this mission, all thanks to you y/n" he smiled at me, the smile was far from genuine. ~ Park Y/n, the so thought hidden daughter of the most famous martial arts guru. She was brought up in a small world, not many outdoor visits. Because her father feared, a murder in a past would soon target her next. The blood for blood phrase would soon come for her. And so he hid her, for 18 years he hid her in the same house he privately trained hundreds of martial students. That was until a certain hwang had finally decided to interfere with the parks family. After all it was the mission he was more than happy to accept. To kill the last two parks, being the father and the daughter. And so he made a sudden appearance in her life, slowly earning her trust, her friendship, her love, and using all those against her in the last moment, leaving her to die alone. But, there was always someone on the hwangs side who was completely against the idea, who would go to any length to protect the innocent. A hyunjin two part short story.

Veronica Lovejoy likes the life she has made for herself. Assistant to the manager at the Hawthorne Inn. She has friends who care about her and people who treat her like family. It is simple. Nothing could go wrong. Except, there is a spark that neither of them can deny. But getting closer to Chan means letting herself open up, and Veronica doesn't know if she is brave enough to do that. It shouldn't matter anyway. He is not hers. But as the lines between fake and real blur, both of them realise that hearts can break even when unintended. They have to choose between letting go or holding on, not knowing which would hurt worse. The city was quiet as usual for the time of night. It was always so quiet at midnight. The only sounds were echoes of cars, sirens and maybe an occasional sound of a gun or explosion. The city was run by the mob. The police tried to fight them but the power they held was too much. The leader of the Mob was feared by everyone, the people of Seoul knew not to cross him and if you did you'd best pray that he was in a merciful mood. Everyone knew to never cross, Hwang Hyunjin. The streets were never fully lifeless. There were people who had to work late, or work through nights. There was always mob deals happening throughout the night and always someone getting chased by the police. Most likely the mob by the very few cops who still wanted to make a difference. There was a particular individual that had to work a night shift. He didn't care much for it, he was always anxious about walking from his flat apartment that he shared with his best friend. Most of the time, his friend would drop him off to his workplace instead of letting him walk it.

Hyunjin had been locked up for a long time, only ever getting visited to be hurt, mentally and physically, by Felix, the one who had put him there in the first place. One day, a boy claiming to be his twin shows up, and tries to help him. Will he be able to trust the boy? Will the two get out of Felix's clutch together? Some mature content near the end(I love character developed spicy scenes), and a bit of angst this, in no way, relates to any idols in real life. this is only for entertainment, nothing more. also, Felix is a sweetheart, and he'd never hurt anyone, but its for the sake of the story.
