Laney giggled. "So you believe it then? That ghosts are real and all?"


Jack stared straight ahead. "Yes. One hundred percent."


Laney fell silent after that, trying to come up with something to say in return, but Old Man's Cabin came into view before she could, and the sight of it nearly took her breath way. It stood dark and imposing against the beautiful backdrop of the surrounding mountains and thick forests, like a splatter of black ink across a beautiful canvas.
