SEQUEL TO WHAT WE HAD
"What happened?" The little kid asked. He had brown messy hair and green eyes. He was a bit bigger and taller than me.
I wiped the tear away and shrugged, no sound escaping my lips. I pointed to the bruise and redness on my knees.
"Who was it?" He asked. I shrugged again, another tear rolling down my cheeks. He grabbed my hand and lead me back to the playground. His hand was very soft.
"Just point him out for me, Maddie. I will protect you from anyone until day I die!"
That was years ago. Little did I know... he meant it. Those green eyes came right back to haunt me. Whether I liked it or not.

She shook her head to try and clear her mind. He watched her in amusement. "Um sorry," she mumbled, "I think I'm hearing things." She laughed awkwardly, letting her eyes stray from his face and look at anything else she could possibly look at. "No you weren't," he corrected her. "You heard right." She lifted her head in surprise and he was already smirking. The glint in his eyes told her that he wasn't lying either. Her heart swelled and she bit her lip instinctively. He groaned. "Fuck Delilah don't do that," his eyes darkened as he admired her plump lips, waiting for the moment he could kiss them. "Ethan, we've known each other for years! Now you want to talk to me?" I rolled my eyes. "What do you want? Is this a dare? Who's putting you up to this?" I questioned insecurely. I sat in the library. There was not a single person in sight. There was just complete, suffocating silence. Then the silence shattered when I heard loud footsteps. Each step got louder and louder. I looked up and saw . . . Max. He stood right before of me. His hair held in a slick quiff and his beautiful lips curved in a grin. My heart started to beat rapidly. I watched him hopelessly as he bent down, towards me, near me. His face inches away from me. I could feel his cold breath on my face. "You still love me, don't you?" He asked in his deep voice. The answer was yes, I did love him. . . but I can't tell him that. I don't want him to repeat all the things he did to me. I don't want him to make me cry for hours. But will he love me for real this time if I forgive him? If I don't forgive him, will I ever forget him? Will I ever be able to give love a second chance? "I didn't catch your name," He says, and I feel my cheeks heat up. He's so confident. I would be, too, if I looked like him. Now that he's up close, I can see how gorgeous he really is. His eyes, a beautiful brown and green mix, complemented by his curly brown hair, so dark it would probably look black if he weren't standing beneath the sun that had peeked back from behind the selfish clouds. It had almost golden-colored steaks through it. The curls were only on the top part of his head, the sides were buzz-cut, which I was thankful for- I didn't like guys with long hair. His entire face was like a stone sculpture; chiseled to perfection. His eyebrows, thick and arched a bit as he looks at me... He interrupts my thoughts by clearing his throat, and I blush again. "Calleigha," I say, smiling slightly. He returns the smile and leans on the car a bit, his arms on the door. "And you are?" I ask, raising my eyebrows. "I'm Dominic, Dominic Wixton," He says, and offers his hand, which I shake, his strong hand holding mine with the perfect amount of grip. Wow. This dude is literally perfect. His voice cuts through my thoughts. "Calleigha," He repeats and nods a bit, his hand folded back over the other. "That's a mouthful," He says and laughs a bit. ~Complete

Lost in studies, she doesn't have a care in the world and has made no friends even at the end of the school year. She studies alone and is satisfied with her grades. While being the best player on his basketball team, he also scores the best grades in his classes. Everyone in Crystal High knows and adores him and his caring gestures. When he sees the girl fighting to get good grades, something in him changes, he becomes obsessed with getting under her skin and makes it his mission to unravel her and find what she hides behind her competitive spirit. Since their Senior Year at Crystal High is coming to end, they have challenges to face. While the common challenges stresses them- such as college applications and hopes of getting chosen by their dream college- they come face another problem which brings them closer to work together and help each other out. As the bond between them grows and they come to unravel a part of each other, they end up finding comfort. But the past continues to haunt memories and they find themselves stuck with their thoughts. I stroke her hair and whisper "cry and let it all out, don't bottle it up." As these words leave my mouth I can feel her body start shaking, seconds later she is crying. Clutching my shirt and crying like the whole universe is coming to an end, like her world has toppled down. She is in pain, and her pain is damn deep. But before anything else happens, she backs away, leaving my body cold and in need for her. She wipes her tears with the back of her hand and speaks, the letters heavy on her throat "I don't need you, I hate you." Her words stab me a hundred times, I wish I had died before hearing these words come out of her mouth. It is like getting run over by a truck but worse. Like getting hit with a lightning but worse.
