Marajane Gray travels to a secluded, dilapidated rural area in the Arizona desert, near the Supai village in the Havasupai Indian Reservation with her two investigative journalists friends, Blake and Lynn Langermann. While investigating about a pregnant murder victim, their helicopter crashes causing Marajane to get separated from the other two, and she must navigate a village populated by a deranged, apocalyptic cult led by Papa Knoth, who believes Lynn's unexplained and unborn child is the Antichrist. As Marajane searches for her friends, she also encounters a mysterious yet familiar bright light.
