This is a Red Dead Redemption 2 Fan-fic. Arthur Morgan x Female Y/n (Reader) Life is pretty simple as a rich woman. No, let me try that again, life is pretty simple as woman married to a rich man. Stay silent unless spoken too, dress with only the latest fashion, don't do anything unlady-like, and remain faithful to your husband no matter what. Heaven forbid a happily married, high society woman of any respectability be found going against any of these rules. Good thing then, you are not a happily married woman; and when a group of outlaws makes a sudden appearance in your dreary city of Saint Denis, you happily break every single rule in the book. This story will not follow strictly along the lines of Red Dead Redemption 2 but I will do my best to do every character the justice they deserve. The van der Linde gang has taken shelter deep in the snowy mountains in an old mining camp known as Colter, following their botched robbery in the town of Blackwater. They are cold, hungry and unsure of what their futures hold. As Arthur Morgan is out desperately trying to track down game to bring back and feed to the starving gang he stumbles across an animal unlike any even he, in all of his travels, has ever seen before. In the process of finding out the unique story behind it he meets a woman. He can't decide if this woman's presence in the same desolate, snow covered wilderness as he and the gang are in is mere coincidence or if there's more behind it than she's letting on. If it is pure coincidence that she's there than what is she doing alone on this frozen mountain? Whatever has brought her into his life he isn't sure but what he does know is he can't get her image out of his mind. Her bright red hair along with her piercing gaze that seems to stare right through him. As he attempts to find out more about her he convinces himself it's strictly out of caution. It's his responsibility to make sure that she's harmless and poses no threat to them but somehow deep down he already knows the only thing she poses a threat to is his heart. Warnings: will contain adult themes, adult language, sexual situations and dialogue, smut, violence, mentions of sexual abuse and other topics not suitable for children under 18. Set in an alternate universe, the story begins in a different time. In the 21st Century, Arthur Morgan works diligently as a game warden but seems to be having trouble in his personal life. Trying to find a balance and learn how to be honest with himself, he is swept into a discovery of dark secrets when he discovers a body in the woods. Most attribute it to a hunting accident, but Arthur and his friend Charles think there is something more sinister. As he tries to find the reason behind the series of killings, will he lose sight of what's important, or will he choose the life that is best for the ones he loves? I do not own Rockstar or any of its characters. This is merely fanfiction that expounds on the creation of Red Dead Redemption. The cover was illustrated by me, using the original characters as a reference.
