While all the other citizens call the god they know as "God", the Fatedfall Dukedom call them 'Authors'. Every two generations in the family, the god changes and gives them a set role.
This family has been given roles such as the usual Hero, Heroine, Villain, Villainess, Hero's Sidekick, Heroine's Best Friend, Kingdom's Traitor, and many others and their side of the stories are written and set in the family's library but Darlene Fatedfall is the first one to have received the title 'Background Extra' by the current god that she dubbed 'Author of Blind Ideas' and was given the skill Fourth Wall Breaker'-
