In the grim darkness of the 31st millennium mankind stands little chance of survival, with their empire having fallen to a series of seemingly random events 4000 years prior. Countless centuries of medieval warfare between the surviving nations of Terra making it seem impossibly unlikely that they will ever return to the stars. Yet one random discovery in the mountains casting a shadow on a small village may change that. With young Emilia O'Ferrell at the head of an army this universe has never seen the path to and through the stars may be brutal and bloody yet she will see mankind walk it, no matter what forces stand in her way.
A/N: I know for a while you've likely seen the story was updating without changes to any of the chapters, this was because I had to recover them after my device needed to factory reset due to problems on my end.
