A rat named Rem is trapped in a city where anthropomorphic cats take residence. These cats live in a broken society where the ruler is ignorant, the subjects blissfully drink themselves to death, the rich gamble and play poker all night long, the poor decimate buildings and terrorize others, and crimes like rape, homicide, shootings, and more are all too common. Rem witnesses this twisted wretch of a world firsthand. All the while, one cat, unforeseeably, changes his life forever.
