Michael Jackson is an amateour entertainer that wants to put smiles on people's faces. He sings and dances outside of hospitals, schools and orphanages to bring joy to the young people of Chicago. However, as his bills start to pile up, he has no other coice but to take nightshifts as a detective. People doubt his crime fighting skills, but he swears he will prove them wrong.

Three orphan kids, Katie, Zeke and Sean, are the only ones who trust Michael and constantly bring cases for him to solve. The cases that are usually silly things turn into a mystery when dozens of children are the target of a great drug scheme.

 And it all starts with the disappearence of a girl named Annie Gray.
