Ichika Orimura, now in his second year at I.S Academy, is nearly reaching his breaking point after a full year of nothing but chaos, pain, abuse, and neglect by both his friends and family alike. However, everything changes after receiving a mission by his sister alongside a new organization called the A.T.W.D. Unfortunately, the mission backfires and Ichika has been left to die by the people he once called friends, and is miraculously saved by the very terrorist group that he had been hunting. Now free from his abusive, unjust life at I.S. Academy, he finally sees just how evil the influence of both the Infinite Stratos and I.S. Academy really is, and what that influence has done to the world as a whole. Come along and watch as the story unfolds around an ordinary boy, gathering the lost artifacts from the I.S. panic, and becoming the symbol of hope needed to change the world, and become the Phantom Knight.
