Everyone always says that high school is the best time of your life, and maybe they are right. Or maybe it isn't always as great as it seems.
The reality is, high school is only gonna be as good as you make it. Kristen, her twin brother, and their childhood friends navigate the difficult, ugly, messy, amazing and just all around fucked up high school experience.

Author note: I have been working on Sweet Oblivion for quite some time. It is a big work in progress. I have a lot left to write but the chapters I have written have been reworked a lot. Please do be patient with me.
This is my first time actually publishing a wattpad story. I am not great and have a lot of work to do. Feel free to give constructive criticism. If you take interest in my story please let me know. I am also open to suggestions! Please enjoy this read. - TheDistantArtist

Summer Memories by LETollin
25 parts Complete
Yoona's summer plans were simple: survive the history exam, avoid awkward small talk, and recharge by the sea with a good book. Falling for her brother's best friend? Not on the agenda. But when quiet, bookish Nate offers to help her study, late-night cramming sessions turn into beach walks, stolen glances, and something she never expected-real connection. Between heart-to-hearts under the stars and slow, tender moments that make her chest ache, Yoona starts to wonder if this summer might mean something more. As college approaches and the end of summer looms, friendships shift, love blooms, and secrets unravel-including one that could change everything about the bet they made during the first week at the beach... "I knew that if I wanted to make a move, this was the moment. I snuck a glance at her-her skin glowed under the soft radiance of the lanterns' flickering light. She looked so beautiful. I didn't want to ruin it by saying anything. Instead, I looked down at her hand. Slowly, I shifted mine toward hers, careful not to startle her. She seemed deep in thought, mesmerized by the beauty above us. My hand brushed against hers, then I pulled away instinctively-but when I reached out again, this time a bit more bravely, she didn't retreat. Instead, she moved closer. And when our fingers finally intertwined, I closed my eyes and let the happiness rush through me. The tension in my chest evaporated, and I finally exhaled." High school is the period of your life where you feel older and independent. It's also the time where you're restricted and forced into a slim expectation by standards and norms. High school is the last bit of youth you have before you are let loose into the sticky web of life. Within your last years of schooling, your habits and behaviors are what determine if you are a fly or a spider (at least that's what some people say). Clare Carter and her new group of friends are kicking off the school year in a powerful way as they battle new conflicts and the process of becoming high school students and young adults. Each character has their own unique story and background that will represent how they take each situation that comes up. They must tackle drama that takes place at school and home, as well as survive the activities that Freshman get to experience (homecoming, clubs, heartbreaks/relationships, the stress of doing well in school and figuring out a plan after they graduate). This group of friends are scheduled for a wave of realization if they think they'll stick together throughout all four years of high school. This story is created with my OCs that I have fun drawing. This is not an attempt to be a grand author or writer. I am merely using this opportunity as experience for fleshing out my characters and their personalities and backgrounds. The maturity setting was set to ON because any mentions of depression, suicidality, anxiety, sexuality, etc.. were placed under the mature label. This statement serves as a trigger warning that the topics/themes mentioned above ARE present in this story.
