Here we go, yet another one of these books that have managed to quote on quote get over 100k views collectively. This one's gonna have HEAVY Splatoon 3 spoilers, so, sorry not sorry.
Away from the bustling city of Inkopolis, another story flourishes in the city of Splatsville. This time, in the destroyed city of Alterna, a sole (Shhhh) survivor of the human race emerges from a cryo sleep. However, by now, the Earth as he knew it is no longer what he knew at all.
The dome was destroyed, and there wasn't a single soul around that he recongized. Though it wasn't long until he was finally discovered, just not by someone he'd think he'd see.

It's been nine months since escaping the Deepsea Metro, defeating tar-tar, and saving Inkoplois things seemed to have finally calmed down for the team. Agent 8 now free is now living his new life on the surface, working, going on missions, and his favorite thing getting to spend time with 3. 3 is enjoying spending time with 8, but after going on a research mission in the Deepsea Metro she notices 8 acting strange. She found him mumbling to himself, he's having nightmares, being more claggy to 3 than normal, and swears that she caught a flash of teal in his eye. It couldn't be that bad... till 8 goes missing. The team is on the case to find him but sometime into the search Inklings sharing some of 3's similarities are getting attacked and 3's apartment gets ransacked. It's clear 8 is after 3 and if he finds her, he's not letting her go.

These two races would live together in harmony before going to war, then would go back to living in peace. But after all that, humanity still remains a massive mystery. Not a single human would be seen for the last 12,000 years, thus, they were thought to be completely extinct. But that wouldn't be the case, inside a bunker near the city of Inkopolis would be a human.
