Jessica has always been given a wonderful life. Yes, there are those days...but overall - she has it easy. She's clumsy as can be, has a quiet, sweet mother that cares about her, her boyfriend Charlie...and a stalker. She sees him outside her house one day, and he gives her the creeps, but she knows there's not really any reason to. She tries not to pay him any attention, but remains apprehensive. Is there a basis for her nervousness, or is she just reading too much into the situation?
Then her life is turned upside down, and she doesn't know if she will see the ones she loves again. She doesn't know if she will survive.
Alex has always questioned the actions of the man who brought him up. He has never had a family of his own and knows he never will. After Calvin's first escapade, he is disturbed and frightened. When Calvin plans his next target, he knows he can't let there be another victim. He knows no one deserves that fate. And when he meets her, he knows not her especially.
