Gabriella is left by her dad at the young age of 6 for a reason she wasn't familiar with. Her Uncle stepped in to play the role of 'dad', but he died a year later in a tragic car accident. After another year, her mum decides she can't cope any more and Gabriella is soon separated from her home in England. She is forced to live with her so-called Dad in Ireland.
