NICOLE TANG can memorize the dictionary, recite mathematical formulas, beat every calculator... everything except make friends. However, there is one person who has always been there for her: MAYA FISHER. Maya and Nicole met eight years ago, and they have been inseparable ever since. Even though Maya has the ability to make a new best friend, she's always left that honor to Nicole.
Before Maya's fifteenth birthday, she receives a letter of advice from her cousin, ALLISON BOWLING- the person behind Nicole's inability to socialize. Nicole decides that this is the last time she can really be there for Maya before she leaves. Thus, they take on every challenge that Allison poses.
