Jesse Barton is the son of Barney Barton, AKA Hawkeye's older brother, AKA a guy from Hawkeye's past that he doesn't want anything to do with. Meaning Clint Barton doesn't want anything to do with his nephew, Jesse.
So you can imagine how hacked off he is when Nick Fury assigns him to watch over and train Jesse, who's already shown some strong S.H.I.E.L.D agent potential.
But the two will soon have to get over their rivalry when they're thrust into a deadly mission together that's drastically spiralling out of control.
