Monsters are not to be trusted. That's all you've heard for the entire five years that the race has been living on the surface.

The world went into an uproar at their arrival; fear, confusion, and excitement plagued the internet as the people of your generation tried to process this new event.

You... honestly couldn't care less.

You were too busy trying to piece together your already crumbling life. Trying to balance college and a part-time job that barely paid you minimum wage is hard, you know. Worrying over rumors of "soul-sucking" monsters (that don't exist) was not what you wanted on your plate.

Your friends, seeing the stress factory you are, decided to tear you from your overbearing life and drag you to the grand-opening of the Fright Fest being held in the remains of the Underground for the weekend. They hoped it would help you let loose a bit. Besides, it was the start of the spooky month, so why not get a few scares in?

Unfortunately, some people had other plans. The maze, after all, was a trap. Hundreds of innocent bystanders were thrown into the feeding ground of insane, bloodthirsty monsters, only with the items they brought, the clothes on their backs, and the promise of leaving the maze once a month has passed. For what reason? You're not sure.

But for now, you have to survive thirty-one sleepless, terror-filled, hellish days until the timer is called or you escape... alone... oh, wait, actually, you are stuck with a sorta sane monster that insists on helping you escape.
