Harley Espinosa is the town's delinquent, constantly causing trouble, bringing chaos with her wherever she goes. It doesn't matter that she lives alone in an empty trailer in the trailer park, managing to work late shifts at the movie theater and the general store to keep the lights on. It doesn't matter that she works harder than everyone else in school to get the grades. Nothing she does will ever be enough to get out of Hawkins, to be more than the disaster everyone sees her as.

Then there's Nancy Wheeler, the exact opposite of Harley, the perfect golden girl in her own little perfect bubble. When Will Byers disappears in the middle of the night without a trace, Harley is determined to get answers. When Barbara Holland disappears next, Nancy joins in on the investigation, walking by her side into the unknown, holding her hand the entire time.
