Many moons ago, five siblings escaped their rogue life with blood on their paws, finding solace among the Clans.
Adderstar now struggles with a drought that cripples his Clan, as well as his feelings for a warrior who already has a mate and a family.
Boastar dreams of having kits of her very own, but after losing two lives trying, she's beginning to lose hope.
Cobrastar has to manage an ongoing war with ViperClan, as well as his apprentice-aged son becoming a father.
Garterstar is struck hard by the death of her mate at the paws of a badger, and her Clan spirals out of control when she's not at her best.
And Viperstar must win in the war against CobraClan, because his warriors have suffered far too many losses for things to go unnoticed.
These five cats may have climbed to the very top in their Clans, and all of them have made small families of their own. But they are not invincible. Their history, and the kin bond that they share, may ultimately be their undoing.
Note: This was originally written on the BlogClan wiki over a year ago under my BlogClan name "Peakspots", and you can still read the first few chapters there. However, I am no longer active on BlogClan, and will instead be continuing to write the fic here.
Note/TW: Despite this being a warriors fanfic, i've marked it as mature for the following themes: mentions of suicide, the warriors equivalent of teen pregnancy, blood and violence, and issues like stillbirths. Please proceed with caution.
