Theodore Crawford known as the deaf boy. Looks like an asshole but really he's a sweetheart. He's noticed Leilani many times before but really only gaining the courage to talk to her after their run in at the bookstore-and with the help of his best friend's constant shaming.
They both have insecurities they try not to show too much. Was it fate to bring these two lonely teenagers together? Well obviously, that's how these stories go.
