After stopping the apocalypse and the lost of Jane, a heartbroken and grieving Five return with his family back home to the present, convinced that he have prevented the initial apocalypse and fixed this timeline, so Jane's death wouldn't have being in vain.

Five hopes that everything is back to normal and he can retire, so Jane can rest in peace.

But when him and his family return to the Academy, they realize that something is wrong. Their father Reginald Hargreeves is alive and a new group of superheros name The Sparrow Academy are now living in their home and not only that but also their brother Ben is a member of the Sparrows. 
And Five gets a big surprise when he see that his partner in crime and the love of his life, Jane Griffin, is alive, but she a member of the Sparrows, and the worst is, she don't remember Five at all. 

And as it couldn't get worse an unknown thing arrives and began to ravages the world causing the whole universe to be in danger.

Now Five will do anything he can to make Jane remember while his family are trying to convince the Sparrows to help save the universe.

It's hard for Jane to remember, but maybe with the help of the one that love her the most, can help regain her memories.
