I'm fourteen and have come to the realization that life is not about trying to be what others want. Although it is good to have dreams and want things, you need to find your own happiness first. When I was four my mom asked me what I wanted to be when I was older and my answers were very similar to those in this poem. Please enjoy, as this is the finished product:)

The Working Life
Ugh! Work! Yeah, I know. Who likes working? You know unless you have your dream job or something. Yeah, I don't. Not yet anyway. But I presume this not-journal to be way less dramatic and funny. I don't see myself finding friends like I did in school and university. Even if I do get friends, they're gonna be grown-ups. Eww! And yes, I'm well aware I'm a grown up too. But even though I look like I'm twenty-one, my mind works like an eight-year-old. FYI, I'm older than twenty-one, so... Okay, job not-journal, here we go!

The average human being spends every second of his day fighting against the force of nature to see another day. But I'm different. I'm not afraid of outside forces to take my life away - only myself.
