I'm fourteen and have come to the realization that life is not about trying to be what others want. Although it is good to have dreams and want things, you need to find your own happiness first. When I was four my mom asked me what I wanted to be when I was older and my answers were very similar to those in this poem. Please enjoy, as this is the finished product:)

Love Misunderstood
I only ever met one man I'd call truly noble. He was a man who was misunderstood and worthy of the world, yet everyone saw him differently. That was until I saw his true colours. The more I caught his eye the more he noticed me. We would pass each other, I would always stare a little longer at his back, wondering his story. People used to move out of the hallways if they saw him approaching whereas people would come and talk to me. He kept to himself, I was never alone, he had no friends, I was friends with everyone, I never saw him talk to anyone I spoke to many. we were polar opposites. Ugh! Work! Yeah, I know. Who likes working? You know unless you have your dream job or something. Yeah, I don't. Not yet anyway. But I presume this not-journal to be way less dramatic and funny. -Let's get this straight. From a dead end job to a useless crazy ex boyfriend- my happiness is with my best friend yet the fear of our relationship ending completely scares me and id rather fake it and be in fear than find out and never be happy. It sucks, seeing him everyday and knowing what i feel for him and how deep those feelings go is painful...- But when he comes around everything changes for the best and for the worst.
