A Kids TV Show, known as The Pit, is a new show which has recently been streamed on different platforms. Marinette's parents have also recently adopted a kid named Sylvie Auclair,  now Sylvie Dupain-Cheng. Marinette and her new little 8 year old sister were watching The Pit, wanting to see what the hype for the new show was about. But after 5 minutes of watching this unusual thing, they felt something was up.  They were getting sucked into the TV,  and their parents tried pulling them out but instead got sucked with them. In one blink, they ended up in a white room. Marinette could see many people and most of them had their siblings with them (some parents too) and they all had the same confused look on their face. Then somebody's voice echoed in the infinite room.

"Welcome to 'The Pit.' You guys will have to live in this area for 5 years and don't think there's an escape because well...there isn't. You will be provided with all of the things you need but if you do wish to leave, just say so and you won't get the grand prize of €10M! Yes, you all will get €10M, each one of you, if you manage to live here for 5 years..now let the show, or fairytale, begin!"
