Neophyte and her little sister Afradite have been living alone for the past three years without they're parents. They are not from our planet... but they don't really know that. Neophyte has suspected it, but she was never really sure. Now she and Afradite are on the run from Creepers (alien chasers who have a knack for annoying Neophyte) with a couple of friends.
Neophyte must learn to protect her small group from the Creepers while also trying to get back to their home planet, Shangrala. But can she take care of herself, Afradite and the others if she's only 14 years old?
