Harper Scranton who goes to Faber College just got dumped the start of school, by her (now ex) boyfriend Matt, the quarterback of the football team. Things start to take a turn in her life, including her Dad spiraling from mental illness and certain changes from her break up. But there is only one person that stayed around and gave her comfort through the next long few months, Tristan Miles, the hockey superstar. Which seemed like a like/hate friendship at first, may turn into something more. There's only one problem.. Tristan is her ex's bestfriend. While Harper only really saw Tristan as a boy she quite frankly despised, she found comfort in him. Tristan, who had to see her only as a friend.. can't stop remembering that one night when they shared a kiss, now that Matt is out of the picture. The feelings build up more but are pushed away from how wrong the situation is and Harper wonders to herself, are they 'Just Friends' or has he always been the boy of her dreams in plain sight.
