Grendel, a lone, contemplative, curious, and philosophical monster died centuries ago at the hands of Beowulf...but now, the famous monster from the Old English epic has been reborn, and his good right arm has grown back! Grendel wakes up centuries later in an unfamiliar world named Safe Haven, home to several strange beasts like himself. Now, with the chance to finally communicate, Grendel enrolls at Zoo-Phoenix Academy and meets the zany students there. As Grendel opens up to everyone, he continues his pondering of what the meaning of life is all about. Can he finally make a home for himself, and find someone to maybe love him, besides his mother?
