Book II of SEIZE THE DAY, Winner of the 2014 Wattys Instant Addiction Award. If you haven't read Book I, SEIZE THE DAY, please do! There are spoilers ahead! **** Lannie Brackenbury never thought she would be sent on a dangerous quest to save the world. But after she discovered her destiny as a Harbinger, that idea took a drastic twist. Bestowed with abilities that she is still learning to use, Lannie is sent on a journey that will take her across Etheia, where she must negotiate a peace treaty between the magical kingdom of Eremith and the human kingdom of Nor to break the vicious cycle of slavery. But making peace in the world of Etheia is not as easy as it seems. Therin, the bloodthirsty Drakain that ruined Lannie's life, is still moving in the shadows, convincing the world to doubt the existence of the Harbingers. And when a terrifying beast cloaked in darkness attacks Lannie, she realizes that defeating Therin is the least of her worries. Humans and magical creatures are on the brink of another war. This time, it is far more dangerous than Lannie could ever have imagined. There is a dark force at work that is bent on destroying not only Nor, but Eremith as well. And it will take everything that Lannie has to stop it. ---- Cover: Model © Ylenia Manganelli via PrincessandDragon.deviantart.com; Background © Sean & Ashlie Nelson via AshenSorrow.deviantart.com; edited by me

Catalina Azura's life ended in misery. For 3 decades a war has ensued between Elimina and Azura, and in it, Catalina was only a pawn. Sent to the Elminian kingdom to be wed to the Crown prince, Caspian Atticus Elmina III, by her Step Brother the King; she is sent into a den of wolves. She is timid, but there is one thing that Catalina has, powers, ones that have been thought lost to time. She cannot be discovered, as witches have long been feared and more importantly, slaughtered. In Elmina, Catalina treated as a slave, being abused by her own ladies in waiting. She's completely abandoned, with no one from Azura to help her, and Caspian? He has long lost interest in his frail wife. Unable to stop the war, she sees her husband carry her friend's heads on pikes from battle, another desperate reminder she is helpless. Eventually, Catalina is sent to death, on charges of witchcraft, by Caspian, all so his concubine can become queen. As the executioner sharpens his scythe, he asks Catalina for her last words, she only cries, pleading her innocence. She prays for a last chance, for whatever gods there are to show her mercy. What happens when Catalina wakes up back in Azura, where her step-brother instructs her that she will be sent to Elmina to be wed to Caspian? She has traveled 7 years back in time. Catalina vows to have her revenge on those who hurt her, starting with Caspian who killed her, and ending with the King of Azura who sent her to this bloody hell in the first place. She will rule Azura and Elmina, as queen, and she will get her revenge. The only way to do that? Be more dangerous than the danger. ----------------- "I assume you've never been told no?" I ask, batting my lashes and placing my hands on Caspian's chest. He smirks "Not ever." "Well then Your Highness, let me be the first" I smile "No Caspian. Go to hell" "Would you say yes there, my love?"
