I died. I watched these demons, these
creatures, these blood-thirsty vampires suck me dry. I felt the pain ravage my
body. I felt the air leave my lungs and my heart beat stop. I felt my last
breath leave my lips as I screamed for help, but I got help from what I least expected. A large, powerful brown wolf. His radiant blue eyes pierced my soul, but his bite sets my nerves on fire. I basked in the euphoria as I went into the blue heavenly light.
Then, how am I alive, lying in my front yard, covered in dirt and my own blood?
Life for Anastasia Bane has never been easy. She's never had a real home since she has been moved from one foster family to the next ever since her parents died; she was only five years old when the house fire occurred. A new foster family means a new school in a new town. Anastasia "Ana" can't really see the bright side of it, but what she doesn't know is that life is about to take a horrific turn when she finds herself attacked and murdered on Halloween night. What's even scarier is that she finds herself shockingly alive the next morning. Not only that, the so-called local golden boy, Cade Wilson, has taken it upon himself to be her personal body guard/friend out of the blue. With all of this on her plate, how can Ana survive high school when both her body and mind are under-going strange transformations? Plus, her attackers are out to hunt her down and finish the job. It was cut short, his whole body freezing up as the crazy man sunk his large fangs into his neck, ripping a large chunk of the boy's flesh in between his teeth.
