Paranormal
I died. I watched these demons, these creatures, these blood-thirsty vampires suck me dry. I felt the pain ravage my body. I felt the air leave my lungs and my heart beat stop. I felt my last breath leave my lips as I screamed for help, but I got help from what I least expected. A large, powerful brown wolf. His radiant blue eyes pierced my soul, but his bite sets my nerves on fire. I basked in the euphoria as I went into the blue heavenly light. Then, how am I alive, lying in my front yard, covered in dirt and my own blood? Life for Anastasia Bane has never been easy. She's never had a real home since she has been moved from one foster family to the next ever since her parents died; she was only five years old when the house fire occurred. A new foster family means a new school in a new town. Anastasia "Ana" can't really see the bright side of it, but what she doesn't know is that life is about to take a horrific turn when she finds herself attacked and murdered on Halloween night. What's even scarier is that she finds herself shockingly alive the next morning. Not only that, the so-called local golden boy, Cade Wilson, has taken it upon himself to be her personal body guard/friend out of the blue. With all of this on her plate, how can Ana survive high school when both her body and mind are under-going strange transformations? Plus, her attackers are out to hunt her down and finish the job. And how is it that Cade is the only one with the much-needed answers and the only one to care for her unconditionally?

He grabbed me, and I felt tingles go up my arms. I started to thrash around trying to get out of his grip. As much as my wolf wanted him, I didn't and I wouldn't give in. "Let me go, dammit", I practically screamed at him. "No. You're mine", he screamed back, sending shivers down my spine as I began to relax into him. I jumped suddenly scared that if I didn't stop myself then I would never want to go. I knew what I had to do. "I, Emma St. Germain, reject you, Aiden Douglas, as my mate." I sent him a pitiful look as he fell to the floor, through the mate bond I knew he was in pain. "I'm sorry," I whispered before running as far away from him as possible. ***** She didn't want a mate, she just wanted to survive long enough to avenge her family. So when she finds out that Aiden Douglas, Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack, is her mate, and he cheats on her. She rejects him and runs. He is trying to fight for her while she fights her demons. What is she supposed to do when her demons become real? ***** Disclaimer: This is not a book with a happy ending or a love story. If you want a happy ending, this book isn't for you.
