Our Promise, Our Future
After winning the Kalos League and keeping their promise, Ash and Serena continue their journey together. From new regions, to new Pokemon, to new battles and new experiences. Whatever lies ahead, they don't know, but they will face it together. This is a sequel to my Our Promise one-shot (which you can read if you'd like for some extra exposition but it's not required). I kept looking over it and I saw more potential in it, but instead of going back to that story, I decided to keep it a one-shot and make the sequel a multi-chapter story. I don't know how many chapters I'll write, but I'll try to make it long enough to be considered a good read. I do know that I don't have an uploading schedule, so new chapters will most likely appear at random. I hope you'll all enjoy my first attempt at a multi-chapter Pokemon story. Fair warning though. Gou realises that he's in love with Ash. He doesn't know when or how it happened but it's now causing him distress. He doesn't want to feel this way and attempts to suppress the feelings as much as possible in the hopes of forgetting. This story follows Gou as he struggles with his feelings for Ash. It will follow his point of view. This story uses the Anime as a baseline. It won't necessarily follow the Anime's timeline or story but it's being used as a guide to develop the story. Meanwhile she, the object of his affections, is struggling with her training. And happens to pull from his battle style due to similar, immensely intrusive, thoughts. Sure, she missed him. But it's not like she wanted him to come and see her, right? There's an entire ocean separating the two, of course he wouldn't cross it to see her again! That would be insane!... Right!? ... Primary ship is GreninjaxBraixen. Side ships are GlaceonxSylveon and PanchamxVulpix (alola) There's like one, very subtle hint for AmourShipping. If you squint you can eventually find it.
