The Land of the Twice Born

In the future - or past, no one knows for sure - people believed that when you had another child, it was being
'twice-born' The country's leaders dedicated an area of land to be called the Land of the Twice Born...where supposedly the 'twice-born' kids could grow up with people who didn't have any children. Sounds like a terrible idea? Just wait.
The Land of the Twice Born is way worse than that. They kill the
'twice-borns' Everynight, at sundown, a invisible lazar beam comes out and turns all the 'twice-born's to stone, then blasts them into outer space.
But if they are in a house, or underground, they are saved...for that night.

Some people actually live there. Including Rapunzel, her sister Rhubarb, and their mother, Rhubarb and their mother are both ill. So while Punz strives to keep her family alive, she and the other residents of The Land of the Twice Born try to save as many girls and boys from the stony death as possible, trying to alert the parents.
