How many times have they wished to disappear beneath the floor boards? How many times have their pleas gone unanswered? More than Valerie could ever hope to remember, that's for sure. In a home where abuse is rampant, the only place to hide is in the closet, and it is the closest thing to a sanctuary left to them. "Alona, don't make a sound," Val whispered against her sister's hair, "If we play the game well and not get found, then we may win a prize. Wouldn't that be lovely?" Her younger sister nodded animatedly. Valerie just didn't have the heart to tell her the prize was not getting found. Will they always have to hide in fear like this, or will there be an escape they can finally find beyond their father's wrath? All characters and elements of the story are my own creations and there by owned by me. This story will contain sensitive materials and mature elements. You have been warned, and thank you for reading.
