Before moving to Maile, life was simple. Obey the school rules and you don't get expelled. Don't get expelled and your parents don't send you to live with your Uncle. Don't live with your Uncle and you don't discover your entire maternal family, including your mother, are sorcerers... all except you. 

After moving to Maile, things got a lot more complicated. 

Lacking any magic of my own, I was left with one gift - the ability to see a world hidden from ordinary humans. But there's a reason it is called the Curse of Sight; some things are better left unseen. At first, it was fun. Meddling with ancient legends, uncovering dangerous secrets, developing a crush on a supernatural. However, when things begin to spiral downhill, to the point everything you know and love is in jeopardy, it becomes a matter of life and death.

I panickedly walked down the now empty hallway I heard some footsteps behind me I turned around to see the idiot who was NOT my GIRLFRIEND. "Don't follow me," I said loud and kept walking. I didn't listen as I walked out of the school hallway and left her there. There are people in this world who work in the shadows protecting everyone from the evils of the world and I was lucky enough to witness this first hand. --- I wrote these characters and the baseline of the story all the way back in 2nd grade. Now, 17 years later, I decided to actually turn it into a full flesh story. I will note that it may be somewhat confusing to read due to the way I write in this. But over time it will become easier.
