Children of the Stars

Phoebe Moonfield is an ordinary girl born to a magical family full of Starchildren. You'd think she'd be jealous of this fact but it's quite the contrary - she thinks magic sounds awfully complicated, especially for her younger brother Cas who is the Descendent of Neptune, possessing magic far more powerful than the average Starchild.

A year following their parents' death, Phoebe and Cas find themselves in a new setting: White Water School for Children of the Stars. Cas begins learning to hone his gift while Phoebe attends non-magic lessons with the 'black hole' class, however, things start to go awry when Starchildren at the school begin to lose their magic, and not only that, but their minds as well.

What is causing this illness that is spreading through the school? A curse of darkness rumoured to be roaming the halls? The suspicious necromancy professor with powers over death? Whatever it may be, it turns out that only that Phoebe is the only one who can save her brother, her school, and magic as the world knows it...
