They don't make fantasy heroes like Charlie Zappala...

And there's a good reason for that.

There never seemed to be a market growing up for mentally-ill, nonbinary disaster bisexuals, but Charlie probably would have benefitted from that. After a lifetime of waiting for their call to adventure, the 24 year old has resigned themself to a life of quiet mediocrity, slaying the dragons of underemployment and depression rather than the ones that guard princesses in towers. So what happens when a magical elf jumps out of their refrigerator, proclaiming Charlie to be at the center of a great prophecy?

TW: Lots of talk about mental illness and depression and excessive swearing (this is a funny book I swear)

I panickedly walked down the now empty hallway I heard some footsteps behind me I turned around to see the idiot who was NOT my GIRLFRIEND. "Don't follow me," I said loud and kept walking. But that idiot couldn't understand a hint "If you Do not stop following me I swear to the goddess I'm going to hurt you," I turned around to look at her "Look I'm sorry I didn't mean that to happen" "You didn't mean to tell the whole school that we are a couple when I have literally only ever talked to you one time?"I asked angrily. "Well yeah I did mean to do that," She answered with a frown trying to think about what to say. But I didn't give her a chance as I accidentally lifted my foot and hit her hard in between her legs. I felt something as my foot connected with her crotch but I didn't think about it As she fell on the empty hallway. Holding her hand in between her legs While saying something like Goddess and hot. I didn't listen as I walked out of the school hallway and left her there. "You know we could have a really deep and emotional conversation now about friendship and trust and the wonderful dynamics of life but you've got that look on your face again." He sighed. "What look?" "You know, just that look you always have." "You mean just my fucking face?" "Whatever it is it looks fed up right now and if I didn't know better I would say jealous but I do know better and I'm fairly sure you're just hungry." The analogy was embarrassing but fair enough until he muttered "or thirsty," at the end which earnt him another glare that he basically didn't notice, too busy waving at Chann and counting down on his fingers in the desperate attempt to see Chann just fucking neck whatever alcohol he was holding now. 🖤 Now Complete 🖤 What happens when looking for an escape from reality actually works, but not in the way you had thought. And it's all because of those damn neighbours. Sorry for how long the chapters are. Comedy/ Romance/ Fantasy
