belle ran away from home to escape an arranged marriage to Sir Gaston. Though he was very handsome, he had a nasty heart-and belle just couldn't marry him. She meets red riding hood on the road, and the two quickly become friends. Red offers for Belle to live with her and her granny. Belle happily accepts. Soon after , though...she starts to wonder if she should stay with red or return to her father. she ultimately decides that red and her grandmother are more family than her father-and stays. Then, on a night out in the forest, during a full moon-belle discovers a terrible secret about red...she's a werewolf. But-for some odd reason, she's not scared-for she sees the human in the wolf's eyes. The eyes of the girl belle loves-despite being afraid to admit it.
