Prince Frederick and Prince Alfred were twin brothers.
Their Father, king Edwin of Mercia preferred Frederick to Alfred.
Frederick had the zeal for learning from his father. He was perfect with shooting of Arrows, riding horses and could defend their kingdom (Mercia) during times of war.
Alfred, on the other hand was cruel and killed anyone who talked against him or his decisions. James, one of his friends tried to advice him on his mischievous ways but things didn't end well for him. He was well known by the commoners in the kingdom for drinking of wines and Hales until he got drunk, laid frequently with women and was named "THE KING OF VAGABOND" by his friends.
Edwin, the king was getting too old and knew his days were numbered on earth. He had to choose a new King between his twins.
